Who I AM

Hello, my name is Azucena Nieto, but I am also known as Susi. I am a multidisciplinary creative with a focus on design, filmmaking, and writing. I currently pursue a B.A. in Design with a minor in RTVF (Film & Television) at San Jose State University to drive social change.

As a first-generation Mexican American, my work is deeply influenced by my experiences and perspectives. Independently, I explore and transmute my understanding of the world into creative, metaphorical storytelling. While I excel as an independent creator, I am also a strong leader. I have demonstrated this through roles such as being a founding member of Youth for Environmental Action at the Santa Cruz Office of Education, an Adobe Campus Leader at San Jose State University, and as a filmmaker directing and DP on a short documentary for Digital NEST.
